The idea for this business actually started when I wanted to set up my mother-in-law – and in the process, I realized something bigger: there are so many wonderful people in Santa Cruz looking for love (or even just a great conversation), but they just need a little push to meet each other.
Dating in Santa Cruz can be tricky – it’s such a laid-back, independent town where a lot of people are happy doing their own thing. That’s great, but it can make finding a real partner (or even new single friends) harder than it should be. I wanted to create something that brings people together face-to-face – no apps, no algorithms, just real conversations between real people.
